Colas secures contract at Los Angeles International Airport

Sully-Miller Contracting Company, a subsidiary of Colas in the United States, has secured a contract for the construction of Taxiway P at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
The $84-million project involves the construction of a new 3,600-foot (1,100-meter) long taxiway, providing an unimpeded connection between the north and south airfields and access to the Midfield Satellite Concourse that is currently under construction. It includes the placement of over 60,000 cubic yards of concrete, 24,500 tons of asphalt, and 65,000 tons of aggregate.
The on-site work is scheduled to start in February 2020 and should last 15 months.
Sully-Miller has already completed many successful projects for the Los Angeles Airport. This new contract aligns with the subsidiary’s strategy to pursue larger complex projects.
