Buildings
In addition to its transport infrastructure expertise, Colas specializes in civil engineering, building, and deconstruction activities, primarily in metropolitan and overseas France, as well as in some international markets.

Constructing, rehabilitating, and deconstructing buildings and civil engineering structures
The Group carries out complex or specific projects, incorporating rigorous technical constraints, significant environmental challenges, and a constant quest for performance and sustainability.
Targeted expertise
Colas’ building and civil engineering activities are adapted based on geographic contexts and operational needs:
- In metropolitan France and overseas France (Reunion Island, Mayotte, New-Caledonia, etc.), Colas conducts new build and rehabilitation projects involving public, industrial, and residential buildings.
- Throughout France, Colas handles routine civil engineering works (basins, hydraulic structures, retaining walls, stations), as well as more complex engineering structures.
- In France, demolition and deconstruction projects are conducted under the Premys brand, with a focus on recycling materials and reducing the environmental impact.
A circular economy-driven approach
Deconstruction and rehabilitation activities are systematically designed with a focus on a circular economy approach:
- Reuse and recycling of deconstructed materials
- Integration in Colas’ industrial units (asphalt plants, recycling facilities)
- Reduction of the global carbon footprint of projects
