Bouygues unveils resilience-building innovations at VivaTech 2026
Bouygues is framing its messaging at Vivatech around five key challenges; the climate, energy, resources, social change and digital technology
- Bouygues Construction: strengthened partnerships with Saint-Gobain and École nationale des ponts et chaussées to promote more sustainable construction practices
- Bouygues Immobilier: a white paper on cooling urban areas and homes
- Bouygues Telecom: the first integrated parental control solution to help parents manage their children’s digital usage
- Colas: a partnership with TotalEnergies and Volvo to ramp up the decarbonisation of urban construction sites
- Equans: innovative storage solutions to improve electricity grid management and integrate renewable energy
At VivaTech 2026, several Bouygues group subsidiaries are presenting new partnerships, pilot schemes and solutions that have already been rolled out on the ground.
Bouygues Construction has announced two partnerships centred on Scale One, its full-scale research and innovation test site; one to test Saint Gobain’s solutions under real-life conditions; and one with École nationale des ponts et chaussées, to develop optimised construction systems aimed at reducing materials consumption.
Bouygues Immobilier is publishing a white paper on the cooling of housing and urban environments, based on a study by market-research company Ipsos BVA which surveyed 1,000 people in France, and on input from around twenty scientists, elected officials, experts and other stakeholders. As heatwaves become more intense and make living in urban environments increasingly unbearable, especially in summer, this white paper calls for new ways to respond, favouring a holistic approach that combines passive, urban and architectural solutions to adapt buildings and entire urban areas in a sustainable manner.
Bouygues Telecom has integrated a free parental control solution directly into its “BiG” app. “Kids Mode” is an all-round and intuitive solution that works on all the devices (smartphones, tablets, computers), networks and operating systems the child is using.
Innovating to meet the challenges of our century
“In the face of climate change, the energy transition, resource scarcity, social change and digital transformation, innovation is only of value if it leads to useful, tangible and usable solutions”, emphasises Marie-Luce Godinot, Senior Vice-President, Innovation, Sustainable Development and Information Systems.
This is the meaning behind Bouygues For Resilience, the banner under which the Group is bringing together the initiatives led by its business segments at VivaTech. The aim is to demonstrate how partnerships, applied research and practical solutions can meet real needs on the ground.
The approach is based on three key drivers, namely identifying technological developments and new practices, collaborating with an ecosystem of partners, and then rolling out innovations across the Group’s activities.
Demonstrations
The examples below illustrate this approach across the Group’s business segments, whether it be helping cities adapt to climate change, low-carbon construction or optimising energy management.
- Colas is presenting StreetADAPT, an initiative designed to support local authorities in tackling the effects of climate change, particularly the urban heat island effect, rainwater management and the reversing land take.
- Bouygues Construction, in an exclusive partnership with Siniat, is unveiling a new low-carbon timber-framed partition wall.
- Equans is presenting Smart Grids, a smart electricity network capable of optimising energy management in real time.
- TF1 is unveiling Ad Manager, its new platform that makes it easier to manage advertising campaigns independently.
