Appointment of William de Lumley, new Keystone and Circular Economy Director for the Colas Group

William de Lumley has just been appointed Keystone (materials activity) and Circular Economy Director at Colas.
Reporting to the CEO, Pierre Vanstoflegatte, he joins the Executive Committee. Since 2023, he has been Chairman
and CEO of the Lafarge Granulats product line of the Holcim Group.
As Director of Keystone, his task is to pursue the strategy aimed at positioning Colas as a major player in the sale and production of natural and recycled aggregates in targeted development areas. With regard to the circular economy, which includes site restoration and waste landfill, materials recycling, soil decontamination and demolition, he will focus on developing an ambitious and pragmatic strategy, capitalising on Colas' existing expertise to conquer similar markets in new geographical areas.
William de Lumley began his career in 1998 at Lafarge Granulats France, where he successively held the positions of Project Manager and Operations Manager. In 2007, William de Lumley continued his international career, first in India, where he created the new Aggregates and Concrete activity, then in Egypt until 2012 as Quarries Director, and finally in the Philippines until 2017, where he stimulated sustained growth in aggregates, concrete and speciality materials, and supported the integration of the Lafarge and Holcim entities.
After 10 years of multicultural experience, he returned to France in 2017 to lead the ready-mix concrete activity in the Côte d'Azur region. In 2020, he moved to the Ile-de-France region, where he remained Director of the Seine Aval aggregates operational unit until 2023.
"I am proud to be joining Colas, and it is with great enthusiasm that I commit to pursue the development of the materials activity, while respecting biodiversity and anchoring our actions in a sustainable manner in the areas", says William de Lumley.
William de Lumley, 53, is a graduate of the Institut Géologique Albert de Lapparent (now Institut Polytechnique UniLasalle).
