Notre-Dame Cathedral’s Forecourt Restored to its Former Glory

Details of Works: Removal of historic surfacing, earthworks and installation of Comblanchien stone over an area of close to 1,000 square meters, across the entire width of the cathedral’s western façade, creation of a cast-in-place gutter to guide rainwater from the area directly in front of the cathedral and the doorways to the drains, installation of a temporary cover for the limestone to protect it from damage during the rest of the works, provisional connection of the “new forecourt” and the existing forecourt using Colclair light-colored asphalt mix.
