A concrete road, a first for Colas Gabon
Olam, a major international agricultural commodities trader, entrusted Colas Gabon with the task of building a road on the new bulk mineral port in Libreville.
The client wanted concrete solution based on 25cm thick dowelled slabs.
This contract involved 24,000 m² of pavement (6,000 m3 of concrete) and 4,600 m of culverts (2,300 m3 of concrete).
A concrete plant was brought in from Congo and installed on the mineral port to supply concrete to the worksite.
These dowelled slabs, a first for Colas Gabon, complete the skill set of the subsidiary, which is now a respected and acknowledged partner for our client Olam.
