  • In mainland France,  revenue at the end of June 2008 amounted to 3.3 billion euros, a 12.5 % rise compared to the end of June 2007 (+ 8.1 % with unchanged scope of business). A great number of raw material price hikes (in particular bitumen and energy) have contributed to  this increase.  Revenue in the regional road subsidiaries is 7% higher than last year.  Activity during the first half-year remained buoyant, despite several regional  disparities, thanks  to the fact that business got off to a quick start without any winter season slow-down.  The non-road related businesses have all posted strong growth with an increase of over 30% compared to the end of June 2007, due essentially to the rail and waterproofing sectors.
  • In the French overseas departments,  revenue is up 10% thanks in particular to strong business in building, public works and civil engineering on Reunion Island.
