Colas Ltd, a Britain-based subsidiary of the Colas Group, as part of a consortium along with Volker Highways and URS-Scott Wilson, has been selected for the central area of the London Highways Alliance Contract (LoHAC) by Transport for London (TfL).

The 8-year contract will start on April 1, 2013.

The contract comprises:

  • Highway services including winter maintenance, emergency call-outs, civil engineering work associated with traffic lights, horticulture, landscaping and ecology, street cleansing (street sweeping and litter picking), gully cleaning,

The total value of the base contract is estimated at ₤420 million (€520 million), of which Colas Ltd has a 40% share.
