Other challenges

Other challenges, while not strategic, are very important for Colas: the only difference is that they are characterized by lower levels of potential for action or exposure. This does not, however, mean that the Group is any less committed to these areas. There are five such challenges:

• Safety
• Corporate social responsibility in so-called "southern" countries
• Energy and greenhouse gases
• Recycling
• Chemical risk
  

Other specific subjects, such as, for example, biodiversity and responsible sourcing, are not covered by dedicated sections; instead, they are addressed within other sections.
