Colas Madagascar has performed a series of major infrastructure projects with  environmental standards for ilmenite and nickel mines in Fort-Dauphin (QMM), Ambatovy and Toamasina (Sherritt): Earthworks, civil engineering, roadways, industrial facilities.


KEY FIGURES

QMM project in Fort-Dauphin

  • 2,000,000 m3 of earthworks
  • 1,000,000 m3 of quarry development
  • 350,000 m3 of subgrade foundation materials
  • 150,000 m3 of riprap
  • More than 700 people (1,300 in peak phase)

Sherritt project

Ambatovy site (extraction)

  • 2,000,000 m3 of cut
  • 2,000,000 m3 of fill

Toamasina site (treatment plant)

  • 1,200,000 m3 of earthworks
  • 100 km of piles
  • 350,000 m3 of concrete
  • 30,000 tons of steel
