Building

Colas’ building business comprises :

• A conventional construction activity consisting of new construction and refurbishment of buildings:
  • offices
  • administrative buildings
  • schools
  • hospitals

Deriving originally from GTE, a company acquired by the Group in the 1980s, this business is located mainly in :

- in the Paris Region, through the subsidiary Colas Ile-de-France/Normandie
- in the islands of the Indian Ocean and Pacific zone, where this business constitutes a vital adjunct to the road construction business, principally in Reunion Island (GTOI), Mayotte (Colas Mayotte) and Madagascar (Colas Madagascar), along with New Caledonia.

• A demolition and deconstruction business involving old buildings (high-rise apartment blocks and office buildings, industrial facilities, etc.). This business is performed by nine specialized subsidiaries and offices (Brunel Démolition, Colas Montpellier, Ferrari, Gadais, Genier-Deforge, Perrier TP, Picheta, SNPR and SNT Nicol), operating in France, chiefly in the Paris region.
